Personal:

I'm 45, and smoked for 30 years.  I quit July 14, of 2008 ( my 4th try with Chantex).  I wake up everyday astonished that I can call myself a non smoker.  Evey time I run, I'm more astonished that I can do it for more than 2 minutes with out stopping!

I am married and have 2 daughters, Maria(23), and Antonia (20).  Great kids, fun, smart, and responsible.  Oh, and my husbands a great guy too!

Hey welcome to the blog. Congratulations on kickin' the habit! I think running is the perfect substitute...it can be rather addicting. I just joined this blog about three weeks ago. It's a great resource for information and motivation. Keep up the non-stop runs, and soon you'll reach your goals.

Wow! You are really inspiring! That is amazing that you kicked the habit! You will love it on here, it is awesome for progress and you are definitely progressing! Welcome and let me know how it is going. After a while you will be able to run even further without stopping :)

Great work on quitting! I quit 11 years ago after about the same time addicted as you. I only started running in 2007. My only advice is stay away from places and situations where people are smoking for at least six months. After that, at least for me, I never had any desire to start again. Now as a runner I can hardly believe I used to do that.

Way to go quitting, and also running 4 miles non-stop and 6.5 miles with only one stop. It feels good, doesn't it? You have some amazing goals. Good luck! :o)
